It's JAC Challenge time again! This week, we're focusing on facial expressions and the body movement/postures that go along with them. This challenge is based on the following challenge ideas:
JAC Challenge: Expressions/Guardians of the Galaxy
It's All in the Expression
Choose one of the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy and draw at least three or more different expressions and the body poses/movements that go along with those expressions. You can choose any type of emotion you want to express, even if it's not normally seen through your chosen character. You can also choose to follow along with the original challenge idea and do a set of exaggerated expressions, similar to those found in cartoons and animated features.
Armor Fit for a Galactic Guardian
Choose a piece of armor from any era of the past (Medieval, Renaissance, Samurai, etc) and redesign it to fit for a futuristic, galactic generation of guardians. Be sure to include an image of the original piece of armor into your entry or provide a link to the image in your deviation description.
Create-a-Character: Guardians of the Galaxy
Create a new character; a hero that's part of the Guardians group or a villain that they may eventually face in an intergalactic battle.
Fans of the Franchise
Create a fan art piece/pin up/poster for Guardians of the Galaxy. You can choose to do any character(s) you want or anything associated with the comic and/or film versions.
Expressions Challenge :: Crazy
Draw up a collection of faces with various "crazy" expressions, whether it's moods or feelings based on the word crazy and its synonyms (a thesaurus is your friend) or exaggerated expressions you'd normally find in cartoons and other animated features.
Armor of the FutureThe fan element for this challenge is....Guardians of the Galaxy! The newest in Marvel's growing cinematic universe, Guardians of the Galaxy is about a group rough-n-ready space outlaws (Star Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Racoon, & Groot), banding together under the toughest of circumstances, to save the galaxy from the forces of evil. Like the previous set of Marvel films, events occurring in Guardians of the Galaxy will continue the story lines within this phase of Marvel's Cinematic Universe, which will eventually lead up to the conclusion of "Phase 2" with Avengers: Age of Ultron. For more information about Guardians of the Galaxy, you can visit the official film site or get even more galactic goodness from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Wiki page.
Choose a piece of armor from any era of the past (think medieval, renaissance, samurai, etc) and redesign it to fit a futuristic setting, whether it's sci-fi, apocolyptic, Matrix or Tron like, the choice is yours!

Daily Sketches
So, I decided to try and submit at least one drawing a day, and while I may not have actually hit fourteen consecutive days, I did manage to complete a good set for the first two weeks so far.
Dailies vary between digital pieces and sketchbook drawings, each of some of my favorite characters or original designs. I use these dailies for ideas on future pieces too, so there may be some finished or recreated pieces here on deviantART later on.
If you want to see my daily drawings more frequently, and on a daily basis, feel free to follow my Twitter or Instagram.
Here's a look at some dailies I've submitted so far!
Stina Lives!!
Just a brief visit to let you fine watchers know that I'm still drawing and posting updates, just not quite as frequent here on deviantART. If you want to keep up with more frequent art updates, you can follow me on Instagram or Twitter.
I'll be posting plenty of sketches and works in progress on both profiles, mostly, and finished artwork will eventually wind up here on dA. I've been drawing a lot; between comics, fan art and a few personal projects. So, there's plenty to see...
I'll come back with finished art soon, after I polish things up! In the meantime, catch you around!

Hello, JoGees!
It's been awhile, hasn't it? A little over two years since the last journal and activity has gone to a slow crawl or nearly non-existent. That's okay though, because I'm sure the JoGees have been busy with life, work and other things.
Since then, some have had weddings, kids, promotions, new jobs, new projects, YouTube channels, streams, commissions, and all other life and arting madness.
So, what has the crew been up to lately? Let's take look!
D_Gee (Dax) has been hard at work on his latest project, Forest Folk, an online webcomic about Filburt the Fox and everyone's favorite sketching elf, Thomas. Follow their adventures every Saturday
