JAC Challenge updates have been scarce, and so have submissions, but I'm not here to scold anyone because everyone has been super busy with life, school and work of some kind, myself included. (Congrats to any graduating JoGees, by the way!)
How to Train Your Dragon 2 has finally been released in theaters and for those who have seen the first film, you get to revisit the lives of Hiccup and Toothless and his viking friends and their dragons! You'll also be introduced to new characters and new dragons. EXCITING! For those of you who haven't seen it and want to learn more about the world of How to Train Your Dragon, you can always check out the Official Website for inspiration!
With that in mind, this JAC Challenge is all about......DRAGONS! I decided to take a different approach to this particular challenge by offering different challenge options, rather than sticking with one specific theme. You guys will be given the option of choosing what you want to do, whether it'll be a fan art piece/pin-up, a character creation or other similar challenge types. You can choose to do one option or all of them. The more the merrier!
Let's get down to dragon training!
JAC Challenge Special :: How to Train Your Dragon
Fans of the Franchise
Create a fan art piece/pin up commemorating any part of the Dreamworks' Dragons franchise which includes the two films, the television show (Riders/Defenders of Berk), and the Specials (Book of Dragons, Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon, Gift of the Nightfury, Giant Fire-breathing Toothless).
Dragon Mash-Up
Choose two of any of the existing dragons within the world of Dreamworks' Dragons and mash them up by taking different attributes and designs from each dragon to create a new one. Be sure to include links or thumbnails of the original dragons within your "Artist's Comments".
Create-A-Character :: A Viking and Their Dragon
Create a viking character, young or old, and their dragon companion. The characters in How to Train Your Dragon share some of the same characteristics with their dragons, consider those ideas when creating your characters.
Scenery/Landscape :: Hiccup Explores
Hiccup is setting out with Toothless on a quest to find more unexplored lands. Create and illustrate a new location to be explored. Is is full of dragons? Is it a village full of people? are dragons and humans living among each another, like in Berk? Those decisions are totally up to you!
Have fun with this challenge, JoGees! Keep on rockin'! Just allow it! L's to all!

Daily Sketches
So, I decided to try and submit at least one drawing a day, and while I may not have actually hit fourteen consecutive days, I did manage to complete a good set for the first two weeks so far.
Dailies vary between digital pieces and sketchbook drawings, each of some of my favorite characters or original designs. I use these dailies for ideas on future pieces too, so there may be some finished or recreated pieces here on deviantART later on.
If you want to see my daily drawings more frequently, and on a daily basis, feel free to follow my Twitter or Instagram.
Here's a look at some dailies I've submitted so far!
Stina Lives!!
Just a brief visit to let you fine watchers know that I'm still drawing and posting updates, just not quite as frequent here on deviantART. If you want to keep up with more frequent art updates, you can follow me on Instagram or Twitter.
I'll be posting plenty of sketches and works in progress on both profiles, mostly, and finished artwork will eventually wind up here on dA. I've been drawing a lot; between comics, fan art and a few personal projects. So, there's plenty to see...
I'll come back with finished art soon, after I polish things up! In the meantime, catch you around!

Hello, JoGees!
It's been awhile, hasn't it? A little over two years since the last journal and activity has gone to a slow crawl or nearly non-existent. That's okay though, because I'm sure the JoGees have been busy with life, work and other things.
Since then, some have had weddings, kids, promotions, new jobs, new projects, YouTube channels, streams, commissions, and all other life and arting madness.
So, what has the crew been up to lately? Let's take look!
D_Gee (Dax) has been hard at work on his latest project, Forest Folk, an online webcomic about Filburt the Fox and everyone's favorite sketching elf, Thomas. Follow their adventures every Saturday
